On May 29, 2003, at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the Selection of Cosmonauts chaired by Rosaviakosmos Director Yuri Koptev, the following were enrolled into cosmonaut training:

Aleksandr Mikhaylovich Samokutyaev, Lt. Colonel
Birthdate: March 13, 1970
Since 2000, he has served at the RGNII TsPK in the post of the section head of planning department of the 2nd Directorate. He is married, and has a daughter.

Anton Nikolayevich Shkaplerov, Major
Birthdate: February 20, 1972.
Serves as a senior instructor - pilot of the "Nebesnye Hussars" pilot group at TsPAT VVS in the settlement of Kubinka, Moscow region. He flies the L-39 and the MiG-29. He is married, and has a daughter.

Yevgeny Igorevich Tarelkin, Captain
Birthdate: December 29, 1974
Since 1998, he served at RGNII TsPK in the post of senior onboard testing engineer. He flies the L-39 and L-29 aircraft, has conducted about 500 parachute jumps, and has a title of the PDP instructor. He is married, and has a daughter.

Anatoli Alekseyevich Ivanishin, Captain
Birthdate: January 15, 1969
Serves in the city of Petrozavodsk in the post of senior pilot. He flies the MiG-29 and the Su-27. In 2003, he completed correspondance course at Moscow State University in economics, statistics and information theory. He is married, and has a son.

Birthdate: May 23, 1974
He is in the post of planning specialist in GOGU at TsIP-Moscow. He is married, and has a daughter.

Andrei Ivanovich Borisenko
Birthdate: April 17, 1964
He is the shift leader at the RS ISS at TsUP Moscow. From his first marriage he has a son.

Oleg Germanovich Artemyev
Birthdate: December 28, 1970
He is in the post of the test-engineer in the 293rd department (VKD). He is unmarried.

Sergei Nikolayevich Ryazansky
Birthdate: November 13, 1974
In 1996 he graduated from the MGU named for Lomonosov, with a specialization as a biochemist. He is in the post of senior scientific researcher in the "Sensomotornoy, Fiziologiy i Profilaktikiy" department. He is married, and has a son.
