Section One: Astronaut Experiences
'Astronaut for a Day' the debut of the Shuttle Launch Experience

Have you ever dreamed of being an astronaut?
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is planning to debut its newest attraction, the Shuttle Launch Experience in Spring 2007. When it does, the lucky winner of this lot will be invited to attend as a honorary astronaut, standing and riding alongside real NASA astronauts as together you experience the thrill and wonder of a space shuttle launch!
The 44,000 square-foot Shuttle Launch Experience will be the most technologically advanced exhibit created at the Visitor Complex. A team composed of astronauts, NASA experts and attraction designers conceived the simulator, which delivers riders an accurate, high-fidelity recreation of the shuttle's ascent.
In addition to being one of the first to ride the Experience, the winner of this lot and one guest will be given passes to explore the rest of what the Visitor Complex has to offer, including tours, IMAX films, live stage shows and exhibits.
This lot is courtesy Delaware North Companies Parks and Resorts.
Transportation and accommodations are not included. The actual date of the event will be determined by the debut schedule for the Shuttle Launch Experience. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith. The winning bidder of this event may be required to submit proof of identity and be subject to a background check.
