The British Interplanetary Society, established in Liverpool in 1933, has published a second edition of its popular history. With additional material and a new chapter, it brings the story up to 2023, the Society's ninetieth year.Interplanetary: A History of the British Interplanetary Society Edited by Bob Parkinson “Interplanetary” by Bob Parkinson explores the history of the British Interplanetary Society that was founded in Liverpool on 13th October 1933 by a small group of visionary enthusiasts. From this small beginning it grew into an internationally recognised learned society that globally influenced astronautics throughout the twentieth Century. Through its technical studies and its journal, it has always been at the forefront of the development of space flight.
