How is this different from "Space Mission Art: The Mission Patches & Insignias of America’s Human Spaceflights"? |

No disrespect to Dr. Launius, who I respect greatly, but at the very least the writer of the "blurb" is full of crap. "This visual guide details 60 years of NASA's history through the patches astronauts wore on their space missions!" But then the book starts out with bogus Mercury patches. I'm very disappointed to say the least. As to how it compares to Luke Price's "Space Mission Art" -- Price's book is by far the best book on American space mission patches that has ever been published. No bogus patches here. In fact, it is very close to being the book I would have created if I had Price's talent. |

To add, if I look at the photos of some pages posted on Amazon, I see that the patches used (in the book) are not even the original crew worn patches, but souvenir versions of the mission patches. That could have been done better I think. | |
