"Apollo 11" is among the 10 documentaries honored with a Peabody Award for presenting the "most compelling and empowering stories released in broadcasting and digital media during 2019."

Can anyone who owns Apollo 11 tell us if there are extra features besides the main video? If not, will there be a new version released in the future with those features or a "Director's cut"?

The U.S. Blu-ray has a 3-minute making-of featurette ("Apollo 11: Discovering the 65mm") and the theatrical trailer. The UK Blu-ray has an abbreviated version of the same featurette, the trailer and a 15-minute segment about the score ("Trans-Earth Injection Cue Walkthrough with Composer Matt Morton").
There are no other versions announced, but as Todd Miller has said publicly, the team is not finished working with this material. If and when there is news, we will share it here.

Robert, by "this material" did Todd Miller mean the reels on Apollo 11, or did he mean the 100 or so reels of film relating to Apollos 8 to 13?

All of the above, in the sense that there is still work to do to deliver the entire digital transfer to the National Archives, in addition to other projects (including something Apollo 11 focused).

Checking back on Apollo 11 and if there are any updates on the status of a new DVD version or news about new products from the management team. I still haven't bought the original release yet waiting for a "Director's Cut" or something related. Thank you.

At this time, there is no news to share. If and when there is, you can bet you will read about it here first.

If you're saving yourself for some kind of "Director's Cut", my advice would be just to buy and watch the original version on Bluray. It's a masterpiece as it stands.

There isn't a documentary out there that straps you into a time machine and takes you straight back to July 1969 like that film does. The feeling was indescribable.

I think it's worth pointing out that the Theo Kamecke film "Moonwalk One" is a great companion-piece for "Apollo 11." Made IN July, 1969 (rather than ABOUT July, 1969) "Moonwalk One" is a wonderful "time capsule" film, beautifully capturing the spirit and zeitgeist of the late 1960s. I have the two films, on Bluray, sitting where they belong: side-by-side in my space films collection.
