The Dutch national broadcasting company was very keen on broadcasting the Apollo missions. I have found the following broadcasts online: Parts of an Apollo 11 NOS broadcast which recorded by an enthusiast at home: |

The complete story...Dutch television didn't send the AMPEX-tapes with the Apollo broadcasts to the archives, but used them again to save money. So the complete programs were lost. Fortunately we were able to contact a private collector who owned a video tape machine in 1969, which wasn't exactly a household item in those days. He had hours of highlights of Apollo 11 through ASTP and agreed to have his tapes transferred to NOS archive tapes. That was quite an operation because his tapes were beginning to fall apart, but we managed to transfer them successfully and the broadcasts were saved for future generations. |

That's fantastic to see, I only wish some one had did this for the BBC and ITN coverage in the UK. |

I have digitized several 1/4 inch R2R reels that were used to record Dutch television and radio broadcasts about the Apollo missions. They, later among other recordings, can be found here. |
