Documents and diagrams relating to the death of the first cosmonaut, Yuri Gagarin, will be presented in "Man and Space" (Человек и космос), a new Russian book by cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, reports TASS. According to his version, Gagarin's plane got into the vortex trail of the supersonic Su-15 flying nearby."The book-album will be called "Man and Space," it will be published on the anniversary of the launch of the first artificial satellite of the Earth. It will print about 100 of my works, photographs, documents, various conclusions on all stages of life, full creative report and philosophical reasoning. (The situation that led to the death of Yuri Gagarin - TASS comment.) 'The only thing I gave my word was not to mention the name of this pilot (whose actions led to the death of the cosmonaut - TASS comment), this case is delicate, even if it is occupied the state," said Leonov in an interview with TASS. Leonov first made headlines with his conclusion about Gagarin's death in 2013. |

This book was published last year. It is an enormous coffee table type book 12x16 inches. Illustrated with loads of Leonov's paintings. Hard to stash in a book case. |

There's a pretty good image of the cover here. You can buy a copy (in Russian) from Eastview. The price is a bit steep, though: $214. A LOT higher than buying direct from Russia, where the price is as low as 3350 rubles (about $50), not including shipping. |
