A good friend recently returned from Russia with a couple of DVDs that by all indications have to do with the Russian lunar program. The disks will not work in his DVD player. Would they be in the PAL format? |

More likely to be in different "regional zones" (0 being zone-free, 1 US, 2 Europe), no?Chris. |

Russia uses the secam format but I'm not sure whether that's the issue... I suspect it's a region free matter as well. |

It is quite probably I could convert whatever you might have here as well, if you're interested. |

Mark, that brings up a question I put to you some time ago. Could you gather together all the surviving footage of the N1 rocket and its four unsuccessful launches on a special DVD? While celebrating the achievement of Apollo, it is worth acknowledging that for a time there WAS a race to the Moon, and the N1 is a vital part of the history of that race, and film of it deserves to be preserved and made available to students of those dramatic years. |
