I just received the 'Gemini Orientation' and 'Developing Apollo' sets. Well worth the wait, facinating stuff. Only for Mark and his team, we would not be aware material like this exists, let alone see it. |

Don't hold your breath, friends. I'm still waiting for the Saturn V DVD I ordered and paid for two years ago (July 2007) and it has been back in stock (supposedly) for the past 5 weeks or so. |

Jann, I responded to you privately. The order shows that the set was shipped in 2007, so there wasn't a set pending. Please see the message I sent you for details. As for the Apollo 11: To the Moon set, I don't have the final enhanced EVA footage yet, which is why the set is being held. We just shipped the drives off the end of last week to get the material. Mark |

Mark has emailed me and assured me that the Saturn V will be shipped. However, I definitely only received the Mercury when it was ready several months after the order, and the order status still showed "processed for shipping(1)" (I assume on the Saturn V) until a few weeks ago when the Spacecraft Films account page was revised. I had communicated with Mark several times over the past two years regarding the Saturn V order and was never told then that it had shipped in 2007. I think part of the problem may be an intraorganizational communication problem on the part of SF, but this does not lend itself to good customer service. Mark has such wonderful products--it is a shame that getting them has to be such a chore. |

While I realize people are just trying to connect, please refrain from using this thread (or board) for specific customer service inquiries. Spacecraft Films has a website, an e-mail address and phone number for that purpose. This thread is intended to provide product updates applicable to all readers. |

Unfortunately, customers of certain dealers often find themselves having to post on public forums in order to get a status or update on their paid orders... after e-mails and messages have failed to do the trick. I can certainly empathize with anyone who has paid for an order and waited months (or years) without updates... without replies to their e-mails. Maybe posting here on cS isn't the best approach, but sometimes it's the only one that yields results.(It's not a problem isolated to Spacecraft Films, as posts on another thread have recently shown.) No matter how good one's product is, poor customer service and lack of communication will always doom someone in the long run. The general theme of this entire thread has been of people wanting updates on product that they have ordered. Five or ten minutes a week spent updating the blog or posting on cS would work a world of wonders... just to let paying customers know that progress is being made on the product they ordered. I truly want to see Spacecraft Films succeed, as their product is excellent (and is often worth the wait). But I fear their customers are rapidly growing tired of missed deadlines (without explanation) and unanswered e-mails... to the point where they may hesitate to place future orders. The postings last July should have been a wake-up call. |

Your notation that the "problem" is not just Spacecraft Films is most probably accurate. I have found these types of threads seem to be more a phenomenon of message boards, creating a perception that is not based in reality. And there are always two sides to each story... including the most recent postings here. That's too bad, because considering the number of orders we have processed over the years the number of off nominal issues that we have ever had is extremely small, less than 1/10th of 1%... as is the number who have not received a reply to an email. As I have said before, both the info address (which is monitored and answered every weekday) and my direct email address are widely accessable, and they are answered consistently. I have had more than one incident on this board where I have answered emails three or four times, where they continue to get kicked back, and then I call them and hear "oh, that's my spam software, sorry about that." This was after they had posted on this board about how we had never responded. I have seen posts here where the time stamp on the board is prior to the time I received the email to which I "did not respond." And I have even confirmed (and tracked) that a shipment was delivered to a customer, at their proper address, who then posted here that he hadn't received it. We have updates on our site detailing where projects are in process. I suggest (and have always suggested) that if you don't wish to wait for a product, don't order a product that is not in stock. We don't release a product until we feel it has everything we wish for the set to contain. These can sometimes take a variable amount of time to collect, and it is hard to predict. We have, on many occasions, sent emailings to pending order holders on specific products noting events in their production. We do the best we can, but it doesn't seem to diminsh the inquiries (I can see from my reports that most of those emails never get opened). I'm sorry we do not meet a few of the board members expectations here. I don't want anyone to be unhappy or displeased with the service they get from us, and if you have an issue please contact us through our normal methods, which work very well, and we'll correct the issue as soon as possible. |

The Spacecraft Films web-site states that the Blu-ray version of "Live From the Moon" will be released in December. We are now in December, and in December there is only one question people want the answer to. Will it be? More to the point if you're a foreign customer looking at a minimum 7-10 days postal delay, will it not be? |

Mark, my order for "Live from the Moon" DVD ordered on 1st April still states "holding" nearly a week after it becoming available. How long do you anticipate that pre-orders will take to post out? Is the shipment of orders prioritised in date order? |

LFTM DVD orders are being shipped as quickly as we can get them out. There are a large number set to go out at the first of next week. We just released this on December 1st... The Blu-ray is in replication and should be in just before Christmas. On the Apollo 11 EVA sets, I just received the enhanced footage last week (it was originally supposed to have been completed by the end of September, but wasn't finished until late November)... so we're working those sets now. We're also monitoring and answering emails every day on questions and updating our site. |

As long as the DVDs are in stock at the time of the order then there are rarely any problems and the products are excellent I think we all agree. Most peoples problems arise when a DVD is out of stock at the time of order or is pre ordered before the release of the product. |

Just wanted to let my fellow cS members know that yesterday I received a shipping confirmation for the LFTM DVD set. I pre-ordered my set on 4/6/09...so maybe those of you still waiting on shipping notification can use that date as sort of a measuring stick. |

I ordered my set about 9 months ago as well, I emailed Mark during the week just to ask if the pre-orders still stood as the set was later than planned.Mark was kind enough to reply within 12 hours to confirm that my order still applied, and I have now recieved notice that my copy has been shipped. Looking forward to seeing the finished product, it's been a long time coming but I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. |

I just received the enhanced EVA footage a few days ago. The Bluray is at the replicators. The products with the enhanced EVA footage are #1 in production right now.The enhanced footage was scheduled to be completed by Lowry digital by the end of September. As it happened they didn't finish it up until around Thanksgiving. |
