Has anyone been able to contact Mark Gray of Spacecraft Films lately? I have not received a reply to numerous e-mails. I'm attempting to find the status of "Apollo 11 To The Moon" as I paid for this over 2 years ago and it apparently is still delayed. Also, any word on "Live From The Moon"? |

I have the same experience - I enquired on the status of my order of the recently released one disc Gemini and Apollo sets several times in the last two months and I've got neither any reply nor the sets. |

Same experience also for me. On February 2007 I ordered and paid 3 DVD sets (Freedom 7, Apollo 1, and Apolllo 11 To the Moon). At today... nothing. |

In your case the reason is most probably following - but only if you made it as one order - you ordered two existing sets and one still not available for ONE postage. For the supplier it would mean he will ship when all three sets are in stock as one package (which is logical and correct). Unfortunately for you the Apollo 11 four disc set is still not in stock. The same happened to me with the two new Gemini and Apollo Development one-disc sets which I hoped would be released both together. As this did not happen - Gemini was in stock in late March and Apollo a month later - so I had to wait for Apollo to have it shipped together, which is perfectly OK. Just I did not get anything so far, my order is marked as "pending" and my e-mails re. expected shipment date are unanswered.I have absolutely no problem to wait for something in the production (Apollo 11, Cape, Shuttle)as I can imagine enormous efforts are needed to get all material together and it takes time, I have a problem with no answer to my enquiry sent via regular Spacecraft Films webpage tool re particular order. I think that a detailed update from Spacecraft Films would do good to all of us, their webpage blog has been cancelled few months ago so really no fresh informations on the ongoing projects are available. |

I am right here guys.If there is an item that is not in stock when you order, the whole order will hold until it is complete, then ship. I can release those that are in stock if you wish. If you're concerned about an order, let me know. I will get back to you. I have been in and out of town, but started catching up on some email today. I know I answered one from Dennis today. I responded to the one email I received from Dennis. If your question, like the one from Dennis, is about the improved EVA footage on the Apollo 11: To The Moon set, I am still several days away from being able to say more. As I said in our last email to customers, everyone who has ordered that set will receive an email specifically detailing the footage in July. But today I cannot say more. There is just other stuff going on that surrounds this and I can't talk about it. I was out of touch recently due to a family emergency and the 40th anniversary has been keeping things a little nuts. This is the first time I have been on CS in about 2 weeks. We will get back to you and you will get your sets. Again, if you have an order that is being held for something that isn't in, let me know and we'll release the items in stock. Most people know they'll get them when they are in, others want what can be shipped right away. |

I also ordered the one disc Gemini and Apollo sets (along with two other sets that were to be discontinued after the stocks ran out) in early April and haven't received anything to date. I got an e-mail right after placing my order that the Apollo set might take another week or two to be in stock. I was told that the other three sets would be shipped to me if the Apollo set was going to be delayed beyond a week or two. Since mid April, all four sets from my order have been listed as "in stock" on the website (and Mark himself said the sets were shipping earlier in this thread) but I haven't received anything from my order yet and none of my subsequent e-mails sent have been returned inquiring about the status of my order.I keep getting advertisement e-mails from Spacecraft Films from time to time (with one that came through just last week), so there must be someone there manning the operation. I willing to overlook any delays if certain sets need to be re-printed. But I'm less forgiving when an operation takes your money and won't give you an update on your order months (or in some cases, years) after the fact. A little effort towards communication goes a long way towards making customers happy. Edit - I see Mark has written to this thread while I was composing my message. I will wait for his reply to my most recent e-mail. |

I don't want anyone to be unhappy. All of the orders mentioned here that have available products have been shipped. Anything not available has been cancelled. Any $ unfulfilled have been refunded through paypal.I am sorry that you have been unsatisfied with us. We never aim to have anyone feel negative about their experience. As for Apollo 11 and the EVA footage, it involves a very long process. When it started we had no idea how it was going to end up. On that front all will be revealed soon, but as I have said, it can't be discussed yet. EDIT: I worked through all of the orders mentioned here except for one. CPCM I don't have enough info to reference yours. If you'd like me to take some action on it, please let me know. |

Mark, something is wrong. My combined order (#4178) of Gemini and Apollo one-disc sets (both available and in stock) was either not shipped (order status given as "pending-holding for product") or your web page is not correct/not updated. Fact is I did not get it.I sent you a separate e-mail few minutes ago, I'll wait for the update. Could you also please update us on the status and expected release date of the both Cape and Shuttle sets? Thanks in advance. |

Mark - There is a common thread here. Listen to your very loyal and supportive customers. We all love what you produce and it would be a disaster if what you do is spoiled by bad experiences in the delivery process. Your delivery operation and communication is unfortunately what lets you down. In my case I was seriously wondering whether my DVD had been lost in the post. Now that I know it is still to be shipped at least I know that it has not disappeared into the ether. As you know, we understand that you are a smallish operation and are not trying to put a spanner into the works. If you let us know, then we can make adjustments in our expectation... that's all. Thank you for what you do. |

I completely echo Paul's comments. The product is excellent and is worth the wait, as long as one knows how long the wait will be and gets occasional updates when things are delayed. Nobody likes to place an order for something and let months (or years) slip by without some sort of updates.I suggest a weekly blog posting, letting people know when sets become available or when inventory needs to be replenished. It would only take 10 minutes a week to keep the customers updated and informed. That way we can all adjust our expecations and know our orders are still being worked on...and haven't been lost or forgotten. Customers love updates! |

That's exactly what we all need. Needless to say the regular updates will automatically decrease the frequency of enquiries and consequently make it easier to answer those ones still coming. And save time for the creative work... |

Does this NASA release have any connection to the newly restored EVA footage to be used on the upcoming "Apollo 11: To the Moon" release? |

So... if we extrapolate out from this NASA project coming out in the fall, the SF "Apollo 11: To The Moon" will be shipping around December? |

I hope it is sooner than that! The rest of the set is complete and ready to go.... as I have said I have been waiting on the final outcome of this process, which has been going on for some time now.I know the target date for completion of the entire EVA, and characterizing it as "fall" may be a bit beyond that date. At any rate, we're set up to move quickly as soon as it is available. On the 16th we will be sending out an email to everyone who has ordered this set with full details of the process, as well as posting it on our website. |

Gee, I hope I get that e-mail from SF. I ordered the DVD "Apollo 11: To The Moon" back in October of 2006 when it was scheduled to become "available" on the 28th of that month. It's been a long month of October since then. |

I did the same order and I still wait. But I am also still waiting for the Gemini Flight Controller and Developing Apollo DVDs, which are stated available on SF's website. I had ordered them back in September last year, together with the specially offered LM poster, but nothing arrived until now. I would really like Mark to at least give a status on the availability of items and when they may be dispatched.I have so far the original Apollo 11 3-DVD set. What do I need more further than "To the Moon" to have the complete material? |

Developing Apollo and Gemini Orientation were pre-order sets last fall. Gemini came in several months ago and were dispatched. As I said above, if you had an order with something that wasn't available, then it was held waiting for shipment.Any order that has Developing Apollo in it was held up in a reprint of that set. The original set that came in was not acceptable and was sent back for reprinting. All of those orders will be cleared as soon as the new Developing Apollo sets come in within the next 2-3 weeks. We are in the midst of posting information that addresses items on this thread. If you have individual order questions, please send them to us via email and we'll answer them. Any order that was placed for the Apollo 11 set is being held on our listing for that set. |

What is the situation regarding the developing Apollo DVD ? You had trouble with the first batch but I now presume that you have received the replacement DVDs? When will our orders be shipped please? And when can we expect the "Live from the Moon DVDs? |

I've got a bunch of titles on order from Spacecraft Films. The First Lunar Landing DVD at Barnes & Noble has temporarily satiated my appetite. But after watching the EVA footage on that disc, I went to Mark's site and ordered the four-disc Apollo 11 set and Live From the Moon.I admit it, I'm hooked. |

I think we are all hooked! Now that the we are getting closer to getting the Apollo 11 To The Moon DVD set can you, Mark, say what kind of format the audio only portion will be? Will it have pictures on the screen like the Mercury set while we listen to the audio? Will it be in MP3 or something similar so it can be listened to while on the way to and from work? No matter what format, I'm all giddy with anticipation for this set. |

During the times that the audio is not accompanied by motion picture or television transmissions, you will see photos and other graphics, similar to the way we did the long-form audio on Mercury, yes.I will look into the space possibilities of including the extra files on one of the discs so that you could construct a separate MP3 copy for play in another player. You won't be able to directly do that with the DVD. |

Please don't sacrifice video quality to gain extra space for any additional mp3 audio files. Those can be found on NASA's website. |

I won't decrease any bitrates in order to accomplish this. Only if, for example, I have all DVD-9's and have additional space on the final will I place the MP3's separately. This will probably NOT be the case. One DVD is completely consumed by the EVA. |
