hello all -- While doing some searching last week on another thread, I came across this document:
Televising The Space Age
It's a a master's thesis written by a University of Maryland graduate student last year, and is an analysis of CBS News coverage of the space program from 1957 (Sputnik) to 2003 (STS-107). You can download the thesis as an 800k PDF document.
In places it's dry and stats-heavy, but thus far it's the only such analysis I've found. It's also worth the read for the interviews the guy got with some of the folks behind the scenes.
Since we've been talking a little bit lately about network coverage of space missions, I thought I'd share it with y'all. Enjoy!
