My name is Bryan McKay; I am on the Board of Directors of Ignite here in MA plus a regular contributor to Collect Space. I can personally vouch for this book as being a nice addition to anyone’s collection. The book is a children’s book about the space shuttle and how it goes from landing to launch and it is in a poems format. This makes it quite unique. The pictures are first rate as well. Becky is a hard worker who is trying to Ignite more interest for kids in math/science and space. With the help of the ASE in Houston, we were able to get all five members of that crew to sign the bookplates. Rob Pearlman and I had the opportunity to spend about an hour with Bob Springer in between his Astronaut Encounter sessions down at the KSC Visitor Center during the Astronaut Hall of Fame weekend in May while he signed around 100 of those bookplates. He is such a fine gentleman and it was really nice of all of them to take the time to sign the bookplates. You know it is hard to get crew signed items that you can trust. This is one of them. I was supposed to meet up with Mike Coats after the dinner and reception that night but we left at different times and also thought it would be better for him to sign during the day and not after a long night at the HOF. I hope people still have some money leftover from the all the great shows to purchase this book. If anyone wants to pay by Paypal, please contact me off line to discuss it. We wanted as much money to go to the ASE and by offering Paypal or credit card we would have had to charge more or give less to the ASE. Thank you Rob Pearlman for allowing us to market this on the site as well as your input during this fun process. Please let me know what you think of the book after you purchase it. |

A great book for a great cause. It has very interesting photographs and comments, and the signature of the crew and author makes this book a special collectible item. I enjoyed it very much |
