Fred Haise signed the director's model from the HBO series "From the Earth to the Moon." It was a model of the full-size Apollo command module used in the series. The various opening were where cameras could video the interior. The HBO director used the model to visualize the actual frame. The model comes apart.

I haven’t seen any activity in this thread for a while so I thought I’d share. I was delighted to pick up a Swigert signed Sieger block for fifty bucks and a Harrison Schmitt signed Apollo 11 first day cover for fifteen bucks on eBay. Always nice to find a bargain!I also got my Repoglee moon flights globe back from Charlie Duke a few weeks ago. He marked the landing site with an X and wrote "We walked here, Charlie Duke, Apollo 16 LMP, 1972." It’s taking pride of place in my space room! |

Covid has inevitably reduced opportunities to land in person signed pieces: how I am missing meeting up with the gang at Space Lectures! The pandemic has meant four events have now slipped by and a fifth next spring is looking increasingly doubtful. But on a more positive note, I have been able to acquire recently a crew signed, STS-135 flown patch montage courtesy of a former NASA employee. Janet posts on this forum and on occasion sells bits and pieces. She is a delight. |

Agreed Rick, it’s sad to have so few in person opportunities these days so I find myself waiting in anticipation for the postman to come my door. |

I'm so happy to see this thread revived! I love seeing everyone's items, and I hope we can all keep it going. In recent weeks, I was able to upgrade several of my Apollo autographs. When I started collecting, I just wanted to obtain one autograph from each of them, and I wasn't concerned about the format or style. That goal still isn't quite finished. But as my collection continues, I've begun to upgrade from basic inexpensive autographs to more special ones. I never thought I'd need eight Bormans or five Beans, but here we are.

Rick I'm envious, a great flown patch montage. It will complement your STS-125 one. |

I also managed to score a few interesting signatures in my first year of collecting. So far, this has been the photo/canvas with the longest inscription, Fred Haise. |

Thanks OWL: yourself no stranger to a flown patch presentation or two…😉Despite searching online I have been unable to find another. They exist I know but seem few and far between. |

I sent Charlie Duke a number of items over the past few years and most recently I sent him my copy of "Space" by Andrew Chaikin. I had been reluctant to send it across the pond because it is so heavy but I bit the bullet a few months ago. After Charlie signed it he sent it back but it got caught by customs and returned to him! When messaging back and fourth I told him that I intended on sending it to Jack Lousma and he said that he would send it to him to save me on shipping. And what can I say? Jack went to town and I am absolutely delighted with it. Two great guys, a pleasure to deal with and so considerate and helpful! I love it when a plan comes together!
