I didn't attend Autographica this year. I went to the London Expo instead. For the last two years I have attended and have met two moonwalkers. Last year I met Alexei Leonov! Do you check their website out? They are always updating it. Jacqueline IP: Logged |

What a bummer, I've saved up for years to book a holiday in Florida, with the hope of seeing a launch and I've booked it over Autografica. The only chance us Brits have of meeting any astro/cosmonauts on home turf is the only time I'm ever left it! If Mr Armstrong turns up un-announced I'll most likely say a rude word! Marti Keep watching CollectSpace sightings. Astronauts and cosmonauts do visit at other times than Autographica. Dave Scott is in London, Wednesday 9 October. Others due soon. Keep watching. Best wishes Rob W [This message has been edited by Robonaut (edited October 08, 2002).] IP: Logged |

JACQUELINE, I also met Alexei Leonov at Autographica 2001 (see the BIS magazine "Spaceflight" for August, 2001; page 345 for my photo of Patrick Moore, Edgar Mitchell and Alexei Leonov). Were you by any chance sitting beside Dick Gordon at the dinner??IP: Logged |

Garry from Autographica posted the first confirmed space guest name for 2003 in the last few days. It's Paul Weitz, (Skylab & Shuttle). Also there are a couple of cosmonauts lined up with names to be revealed later when things are confirmed. Garry also mentioned other space guests will be announced later, again as things are confirmed.Steve IP: Logged |

I also received a circular from Autographica 2003 yesterday. The one thing which is of great interest to me is this: "We are trying to get someone who would certainly blow the roof off! For all you space collectors" The mind boggles. But I know two years ago they were considering approaching Buzz ALdrin. Who knows! Jacqueline IP: Logged |

I have today received the mailshot from Autografica. I am hoping to attend the Autografica 2003 event next May. I just hope that it doesnt coincide with the show that Steve Hankow & Co are putting on in Washington DC also in May 2003. Steve has indicated that he hopes to have some special guest(s) at the show. For anyone interested please see- http://www.farthestreaches.com/ Andrew

Myself and my son (aged 10 at the time) sat it Dick Gordon's table. We had a fantastic night. Dick spent quite some time talking to my son. He like the other astronauts and cosmonauts was very friendly and approachable. quote: Originally posted by BLACKARROW: JACQUELINE, I also met Alexei Leonov at Autographica 2001 (see the BIS magazine "Spaceflight" for August, 2001; page 345 for my photo of Patrick Moore, Edgar Mitchell and Alexei Leonov). hi there as my list of astronaut encounters has now nearly reached twenty. i know a long way short of many of you i wondered if anyone who attended autographica 1 or 2 might have some photos they could let me have copies of of the Apollo guys bean, cunningham, gordon mitchell- solovyov or the skylab guys. i did not take my camera to the first do and although someone kindly took my picture with al bean i never got a copy. as i look back at my photos now it would be nice to have some of the autographica guests taken at the signing sessions if possible. i would of course make a contribution towards reprints postage etc. 6 x 4 if possible. of course i always take my camera now!!! mark.
