Apollo 15 image S71-41408 is one of the photos hanging up on the walls of the suiting up room in the Neil A. Armstrong Operations & Checkout Building.

I think there is also a large suiting up photo of Neil Armstrong. There are several other Mercury and Gemini suiting up photos on the walls.

The Armstrong photo (not shown) on the wall appears to be a black-and-white version of KSC-69PC-377.

The photo hidden behind Suni Williams' head and below the Apollo 15 photo is this Gemini 7 suiting up image of James Lovell.

At far right in the second photo is another Apollo 15 image hanging on the wall. It shows Dave Scott and Jim Irwin walking to Swing Arm #9 on the LUT.

Is the new suiting up room oriented differently?

I think the Apollo-era suiting up room had the tables and test equipment at the south wall of the room.

Looking at recent photos, it looks to me like the current tables and test equipment are at the east and west walls of the suiting up room.

Also, there is a large floor-to-ceiling support column near the center of the current room. I don't see a similarly located column in Apollo-era suiting up room photos.

Astronaut Crew Quarters went through remodeling after the Shuttle Program. It’s possible things are not exactly as they were.

All times are CT (US)
