The early Rocketdyne F-1 engine prototype that is displayed in Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex's Rocket Garden is now undergoing a conservation. From Chad Shores of EverGreene Architectural Arts (via Facebook):
After so much planning and research this conservation project is go! I’m excited for the opportunity to conserve this early Rocketdyne F-1 engine prototype after decades of outdoor display at Kennedy Space Center.

A F-1 prototype engine briefly flew in the KSCVC rocket garden this afternoon thanks to Beyel Brothers Crane and Rigging! It was a successful team effort aided by amazing support from our client.

This is great! I was very disappointed when they painted it grey.
