A fantastic shot of the X-15 hypersonic research aircraft, suspended beneath the starboard wing of its B-52 launch aircraft.

I never ceased to be amazed by photos of the X-15 (and the B-52). For me, there is always a special fascination with this program and those times.

Like Henry said above, the X-15 program is a special fascination to me too. Back when I was a kid in the '60's, all the hype was about Mercury/Gemini/Apollo, with just brief sporadic mentions about something called an X-15. The lack of info back then made me crazy about finding out everything about the X-15 that I could, and that fascination is still going on today!

Great photo Ed!!!

I agree with both comments, an absolutely fascinating program, and I cannot get enough of it.

All times are CT (US)
