Astronaut Pete Conrad is seen during the Gemini 8 post-flight press conference in the Manned Spacecraft Center Auditorium in Houston on March 26, 1966. Conrad was the backup command pilot for the flight. His wife Jane is in the foreground at right.

Great, thanks Ed. I guess, at this point Pete Conrad was still hoping/lobbying for the Gemini circumlunar mission...

What a great character image of a great character. I am certain that Pete was analyzing the press conference in regard to what to say and what not to say should he be in a similar circumstance.
