Cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov, Expedition 10 flight engineer, participates in the second of two EVAs on March 28, 2005. Together with astronaut Leroy Chiao, commander and ISS science officer, he installed navigational and communications equipment for the arrival of the first Automated Transfer Vehicle cargo craft. Sharipov also deployed an 11-pound Russian nanosatellite.
