Haas married McDivitt in 1956 and together they had three children. They were divorced in 1981.

From her obituary:

Pat's journey took her beyond her hometown, where she worked as a medical social worker with the American Red Cross at Fort Dix in Pemberton, NJ. It is here she met her future husband, James A. McDivitt. The couple married on June 16, 1956, and for the next 25 years, Pat was the epitome of a devoted wife and mother. As Jim’s career evolved from Experimental Test Pilot to Astronaut, Pat gracefully and bravely handled their home life from New Jersey to Michigan, California and eventually settled in Houston Texas, raising their four children: Michael, Ann, Patrick, and Katie. Her role during this time was invaluable, providing stability and love while Jim worked long hours on the Gemini and Apollo space programs.

After Jim’s retirement from the Space Program, the family moved to Jackson, Michigan, and then to Chicago, Illinois. Following 25 years of marriage, Pat and Jim divorced. Undeterred by this life change, Pat returned to school and graduated top of her class in nursing school in 1984. She moved back to her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Department at Southwest General Hospital and later as a Hospice Nurse, providing compassionate care to those in need until her retirement in 1998. Her devotion to the care of others left a lasting impact on her colleagues and patients.

A memorial service to honor Patricia’s life and legacy will be held on Thursday, January 9th from 5:00 to 7:00PM at Baker Kensinger Funeral Home located at 206 Front St. in Berea. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Friday, January 10th, at 11:30AM at St. Joseph’s Church located at 12700 Pearl Rd in Strongsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Ohio Hospice, an organization Patricia held dear.
