I once had the honor to spend a whole day with him, when I booked him as a speaker for our astronomy-fair in Germany. That day I got to know him as a down-to-earth man, who did not really like to be the center of attention, but devoted himself to all selfie and autograph requests. He has taken a lot of time for everyone and gladly answered all questions. His modest and obliging nature impressed me a lot. He was truly a man of the old school.Rest in peace. |
