I have a John Young inscribed photo which is inscribed to Gail Knecht and thanks her for help on the Gemini spacesuits.
Does anyone have any information about her?

I don't recall her name coming up among the NASA space suit people that I've spoken with. There weren't that many women involved on the government side, so it's more likely she was a contractor with the David Clark Company. The contractors (somewhat famously) employed a lot of female seamstresses to make the soft goods portions of the suits.
But that's just a guess.

I agree. As I recall, the astronauts were always very appreciative of the diligence of the ladies who sewed the seams of their space-suits. After all, only their skill stood between the astronauts and the vacuum of space.
