Incredibly sad to lost such a distinguished gentleman, aviator and warrior... and now there are only 3 X-15 pilots left... we are sadly faced with the reality that the number of test pilots of the golden age will only decrease each passing year... and before we know it they will all be gone.RIP and godspeed General! |

And sadly one of them won't be here much longer either. It is sad to lose such heroes. |

Hope you enjoyed it. While visiting with Bob on Sunday with my grandson who had a special relationship with him also, I told Bob our article would be out any day. he smiled and perked up. The day before he passed his son Greg read him the article and he was very pleased. So he didn't get to see his book published but at least, got to hear our article. |

This is very sad news. I was in contact with him several times. He was very kind to help me with information for my book about speed records. He was always a very generous man. I was planning to visit him next May. I will miss him. RIP

A legendary pilots-pilot who will be missed. A true officer and gentleman. Some ask me who he was? Just read his bio. He was a kind, God driven man who survived wars. I can't wait to read his personal book. Fair skies, General! . J M Busby Aerospace legacy Foundation |
