For collectors in the UK, Barnes & Noble will ship signed copies internationally for a very reasonable $12.98. |

With regards to Barnes & Noble's signed copies, Leland Melvin wrote on Facebook: For those that want a signed copy of "Chasing Space," I signed 750 books that you can preorder from Barnes & Noble. In addition, in-person book signing events are now stating to appear on Sightings. |

Attended the book signing at Bookends in Ridegwood, NJ, last night. Leland Melvin answered questions from the audience. Of particular interest were his beloved dogs which appear on the book covers. He managed to sneak them in for a special photo shoot at that time. Leland then signed books and some things people brought. As ever the staff were very helpful taking photos of people with the astronaut. He is great speaker, so can certainly recommend attending one of his signings. |

I attended a lecture and book signing event during World Science Festival at New York University this past weekend, with both Leland Melvin and Mike Massimino. Melvin related the setback of being grounded with an inner ear problem after an EVA training exercise, eventually being granted a waiver by a sympathetic flight surgeon, and his candid descriptions of space sickness. |

Leland Melvin signed copies of his books (both "Chasing Space" and the "Young Readers Edition" of the same) at Space Center Houston today (March 1). In addition to applying to his signature, he also had a embossed emblem he applied to each book. |

First time I ever saw one of these used was at Nancy Conrad's in person signings. I was at KSC and walked into the shop and saw Nancy sitting at a desk. Wanting a copy of "Rocketman" anyway, this was a perfect time to get a signed copy. Her stamp has a great image of Pete which I understand was originally drawn by either Pete or Nancy.A great little bonus for in-person signings I think. |
