I was just browsing the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation's website and they list the dates for this year's Astronaut Autograph & Memorabilia Show as the 8th and 9th of November.Planning on going depending on the events. |

I would imagine a lot of people will be going once they announce Bill Anders will be there (just kidding).I plan on going for the third straight year. It's seriously the best show you could hope to attend. The laid back atmosphere and easy access to everyone is a welcome shock to someone like me who's used to baseball card shows. In 2012, Jack Lousma talked to me for like twenty minutes! I got the Skylab 4 crew to get together and posed for a picture with me and when I walked up to Scott Carpenter he was sitting by himself with no one around. Where else could you possibly have situations like that? Anyone who has the slightest interest in space should go to this show. I'm hoping this year that ASF will pull in someone from Apollo 8, Mattingly, Stafford again or Schmitt. I know it's unlikely but if anyone can, it's the ASF. |

Bill Anders did show up at the Apollo 12 anniversary dinner for the 2009 show, I think it was, along with Neil Armstrong. No, they did not do the signing events but it was great to see them at the dinner. |

I have not heard yet about the tickets. I was lucky enough to have met Bill Anders at that show as well, though very briefly. Witnessed a rather humorous encounter with he and Gene Cernan in the men's room that was funny. That was a great show. |

If the ASF could talk him into it, Jim Lovell would be a great guest to have this year. A private signing with him would be nice too but it'd be wonderful to see him at the show. |

Since Ken "TK" Mattingly's event in the UK went over so well this past weekend, why not try to get him to attend? He signed and posed for photos so why not do that in the US also? |

I would imagine that the ASF would welcome any MGA era astronaut who wants to attend so it's really up to the astronaut.I'm quite certain they all know about the ASF and it's show so if they're not there you have to assume they don't want to attend. That being said, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for the ASF to ask and maybe someone who hasn't attended will change their mind. Personally I'm hoping for someone like Lovell or Mattingly to attend this years show as I haven't met Mattingly and Lovell hasn't done the show since I first attended in 2012. |

At the least, there's a world of difference to signing what was probably not more than an hour's worth of autographs each day with no inscriptions, and the ASF format of being sat at a signing table all day, or two days. Someone who actually attended the British event could probably say more. |

While we're building a wish-list that we hope the ASF is watching, we should not forget the plethora of space shuttle astronauts. I've had the pleasure to meet some of them, but there are so many more that I would love to meet and talk to. Those of you who attended last year may recall the excitement that Box added! |

I would not wish to speak for the ASF, but I do know in the past the ASF has been mindful of the astronauts busy schedules and offered limited signings at the show. Last year Tom Stafford did a limited signing on the Sunday afternoon of the show. I think even a short signing by Ken Mattingly would be a big draw. |

There's a distinction being missed here: TK Mattingly has never charged for his autograph, not for a charity or his own projects. In Pontefract, he signed for free (his fee was for his appearance).Obviously, there is a first for everything. But if Mattingly desires to continue signing for free, albeit only in person and only at events where he feels comfortable doing so, then an autograph show may not be a good fit. |

Of course it is the personal choice to each astronaut to decide how and when they wish to sign autographs. And I respect that he does sign for free. Perhaps the idea of Ken Mattingly doing a public signing at the show is just wishful thinking on our parts. But it would be nice. I have been told by a couple of astronauts that they would not charge for signatures unless they were at a charity show. So who knows? Fingers crossed but I will not hold my breath for it. |

Just purchased my ticket for the 2014 ASF show, and we got a new venue this year at the Hilton. I missed last year but really looking forward to this one. |

General ticketing has yet to begin, but the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation sent out an e-mail to their higher level donors with an offer of a VIP package on Friday. |

Wee bit confused or am I working too late... the ASF "Upcoming Events" tells us that the dates for the AAMS are Nov. 8th and 9th, however my e-mail tells me its from the 6th to 9th. |

The autograph event is Nov 8-9. But there are other events on the 6th and 7th for some of the ticket holders (Casino night, cocktail party, etc). |

Is the entire event being moved to the Hilton? Or will the show itself still be out at Kennedy Space Center? |

The ASF has done such a great job of getting guests the past few years that I've attended. I know they'll get everyone possible but I'd like to make a couple requests. Please try and get Jim Lovell, Bob Crippen and Bruce McCandless. Lovell would be a great draw and I've wanted to meet Crippen and McCandless for awhile now. I'm going no matter what but those guys would be fantastic. |

Regarding all us "collectSPACErs," wasn't there a thought a couple of years ago about somehow having our collectSPACE "handles" included on our ASF show badge? I remember it was a very useful idea, but what became of it? |

A few years ago, I had produced and distributed collectSPACE member name tags at the show. The main challenge was identifying, in advance, who was going to be there. This year, we intend to have collectSPACE lapel pins ready in time for the show. |

I've discovered this forum about a year ago and I'm an avid reader since then. Anyhow, I think I scored the last two available Apollo partner tickets. I emailed Vic from ASF and was placed on a wait list, but by early Monday afternoon two became available and that made my day, err week. This is the first year that they offered the "Apollo" tier and it sold out in basically two days. |

Welcome to the site. This is the first year the upgraded package has been offered at this event. I have never been disappointed with the Platinum Plus tickets, so I am too very excited about the new opportunities being offered this year. You will have fun! |

I think it will be a case of "Watch this Space." Perhaps Robert will advise nearer the time as the AAMS numbers grow. |
