I remember reading several months ago that Novaspace/Astronaut Central was going to host a James Lovell signing late summer 2012 after he was able to make Spacefest. Is there any update to this signing happening?

Jim Lovell has reached "that time" when doing autograph shows is too grueling. He won't be doing Spacefests or ASF shows anymore, but WILL do signings. One for ASF shortly; us (Astronaut Central) in 2013.

I expect his signings will go the way of shows, too. Buzz is doing the same (but WILL be at Autographica and ASF this year.)

If you haven't been to a Spacefest or ASF show, it's time.
