Mark and Tom Usciak took 10 DVDs (40+GB) of photos at Spacefest. I've put some of the best on Spacefest III's Facebook page. You don't have to be a member. |

Did anyone have Lovell sign anything that Borman had already signed? I am wondering if he charged extra for this. I have an Earthrise that I would like to add his signature to, but I am curious about his additional fees. |

My Borman signed Earthrise print was signed by Jim Lovell at last year's ASF show. He did not require a completion fee. However, if it had an Anders' signature in addition to Borman's, I am sure the completion fee would have applied. I believe the completion fee was $500. |

I bought a Borman signed Earthrise from Novaspace, Lovell signed and inscribed it at the ASF mail in, and 10 others who visited the Moon signed it at Spacefest 3, no one asked for a completion fee. |

At the Spacefest III receptions and dinners there were a dozen or more boys in distinctive blue blazers. I was curious as to their origin, and learned that they were from an exclusive boarding school in Switzerland named Aiglon College. The school is taught in English and French and emphasizes outdoor skills such as skiing and mountain climbing in addition to academics. It was founded by an Englishman but has male and female students from around the world. The school apparently has a Space Science course in its curriculum. I e-mailed a few pictures I had taken of the Aiglon students with Charlie Duke and Buzz Aldrin to the headmaster of the school, whose address I found via the internet. I received the following interesting reply: Our students and faculty members returned from their trip deeply enthused. Naturally I am delighted to learn that our boys were fine ambassadors for Aiglon College, and I hope we shall be able to send a delegation to the next Spacefest.Space Science is an area we believe will appeal to more and more young people, and I hope Aiglon will continue to foster motivated young people who are inspired by the challenges mankind faces in its future endeavours beyond the earth's atmosphere. Do visit our website if you'd like to learn more about our very distinctive school high in the Swiss Alps. With kind regards, Richard McDonald Head Master AIGLON COLLEGE 1885 Chesières-Villars, Switzerland I believe strongly in the importance of teaching the next generation about the importance, science and history of space exploration. Those of us who had the privilege of being eyewitnesses to history have an obligation to pass the excitement and enthusiasm forward. That's why I am happy to hear of schools like Aiglon College that take space studies seriously. It's also why it is important to donate to causes such as the Challenger Centers and Fred Haise's project, Infinity Science Center. |

They became known as the "Spacekids", and saved their own money for the tickets, lodging and transportation. It's good to know these guys will be in charge in a few years. |

My wife and I took an Hawaiian Islands cruise after Spacefest III and are now safely back in Australia, having fortunately dodged all that volcanic ash which disrupted a lot of flights down this way.Spacefest III was thoroughly enjoyable, with a lot of kudos going to Kim and Sally and their support staff for putting on such a great event. The location and administration was simply superb. It was wonderful seeing so many old chums there as well as meeting many new faces. I know that Francis French and I, and the other Outward Odyssey authors, signed a lot of books over the days of the event. However I should point out that towards the end of the show we all signed the remaining stock of books for both Novaspace and The Space Store, who happily carried stocks of several series books, and these are available for purchase by anyone who couldn't make it there. Novaspace now has copies of Into That Silent Sea and In the Shadow of the Moon which Francis and I have both signed, and Footprints in the Dust, which I have signed as the book and series editor. To see copies of the books and to place an order, go to Astronaut Central. The Space Store also has dual-signed copies of Into That Silent Sea and In the Shadow of the Moon, as well as Footprints in the Dust, which I have signed. They also have limited copies for sale of Ambassadors From Earth, signed by Jay Gallentine, and Realizing Tomorrow, signed by co-authors Chris Dubbs and Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom. We all signed these unsold copies in Tucson to allow those who couldn't be there an opportunity to obtain author-signed copies that might otherwise be difficult to find, so get them while stocks are still available. |

Well... Frank Borman's up next. He's mulling over a date, and will let us know.Colin, we're going to put a special emphasis on book signings at Spacefest IV. I don't feel they were handled very well at this one. I think Francis French would agree. |

Frank Borman sounds like a great one to have! I'll actually participate in one for the first time. Any word on fees? I seem to recall he was in the $125 range on the last one. I would love for you to have Dave Scott at one if thats possible sometime in the future. Anders, Schmitt and Mattingly would be great too if you can make the impossible happen. |

Yes, I'm wondering if Jack Schmitt is ever coming back. I'd love to get one good Apollo 17 panorama signed by him. What say, Kim? Are we just dreaming? |
