Astronaut Scholarship Foundation release Astronaut Owen Garriott Private Signing Hosted by the Astronaut Scholarship FoundationNow is your chance to add one of the first NASA Scientist-Astronaut's autograph to your collection! The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is proud to host the very first private signing of Skylab and Space Shuttle astronaut Owen K. Garriott. The signing will be held in late August as a means to raise money for the non-profit organizations ASF and Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse, a hands-on arts and sciences museum in Enid, OK, which Garriott co-founded. Space enthusiasts are invited to send in artifacts, baseballs, covers, flown items, models, photos, and just about anything else you desire to add this space hero's signature to by August 25, 2009. Garriott, an accomplished astronaut, lived in space for 59 days in 1973 aboard the Skylab space station, during which he conducted three spacewalks and set a new world's record for the longest duration in space. Ten years later, he returned to space aboard Columbia on the first flight of the Spacelab Laboratory, STS-9. Items will be accepted from July 14 – August 24, 2009. |

My 6 items from the Garriott signing arrived yesterday. I am very pleased with them and thanks to this signing I can now complete two "Skylab 9" items. Thank you ASF/Dr Garriott. Can I submit a request for Ken Mattingly? |

I also took delivery of my Owen Garriott signed items yesterday. I have to compliment the ASF on a very smooth and professional operation here. Its a great way of fund raising. I agree that if they could persuade Ken Mattingly to participate, that would be a scoop. I also see this having potential for acquiring shuttle astronaut signatures on a number of items in my collection - people like Eileen Collins, Kathy Thornton, Kathy Sullivan, Story, Rick Hauck, Dan Brandenstein, Joe Allen, etc., etc. So very well done ASF. |

Got my copy of "Homesteading Space" signed by Owen Garriott a few days ago; excellent service again, and glad to have him added to Kerwin, Lousma, Bean etc. |
