Ok now... we have to submit our preferences of guests for the gala dinner... I purchased my Platinum quite late, so I have to be strategic... I'm fiddling with a spreadsheet with all the guests names, reordering it again and again... What a puzzle! |

It looks like Aldrin's signing fee has been taken down... Wonder what that could mean.I also was wondering if others have seen the special "photo op" now being offered at the dinner and whether folks are signing up... |

It would be nice if he decided that $50 more than last time was too much. But what if it goes even higher? quote: Originally posted by DCCollector: I also was wondering if others have seen the special "photo op" now being offered at the dinner and whether folks are signing up...
I e-mailed ASF about this, and was told that the photo would be a group shot of you and all Apollo astronauts in attendance. $100 directly to a scholarship foundation for that? Heck yes, I'm signing up. "There's Apollo 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, me, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17."Steve |

For my own edification I have just charted the price inflation over the past four years at signing shows of the main attendees. Whilst we are all aware of the rises, when you turn these into percentages you are talking hyperinflation in most cases. Up until now demand for autographs has been relatively price-inelastic but unacceptable price rises in the light of global market conditions, people having filled their collections and stable secondary market prices will indubitably result in falling demand....IMO.I for one will be cutting back on what I buy at the next 2 shows. Does any other platinum ticket holder/buyer remember seeing in the original details of the ticket that there would be a ride on the Shuttle Launch Experience with an astronaut? I remember this very well. Has anyone heard any updates on this? Thank you. |

You are correct, that is definitely indicated as part of the package. I e-mailed the ASF a couple of days ago, and they said we would be recieving details in the mail 2 weeks before the event.Has anyone else heard anything about the scheduling of events? Steve, I joined you on the photo op. Remember it is for good charity, and they are only taking the first 100 calls. The group can only take so much time. Consider it a space moment to remember. Max Peck |

That's just great.Where it says "none" does that mean no charge or no inscription? I'd like to know how much Lovell is charging "per word" before Autographica. Paul |

Dick Gordon's fee of $50 has been added to the website. I take this as encouraging news that he's feeling better and will hopefully be able to attend the show.At this point, the only base fees we don't know are Buzz Aldrin, Andy Allen, and Bill Dana. |

This is my 1st listing on cS, though I do recognise quite a few names from other forums I am on.This will be my very first show experience, I don’t know how I managed to pull it off really and was in complete shock when my Wife said it was OK for me to go, on my own!!! I am really looking forward to meeting so many fellow enthusiasts from around the world, as a matter of interest does anyone know how many list members will be attending the show & how many are travelling from the UK? I was also wondering what the weather was like in Florida during November, what should I pack? As for the dinner, I know the ASF website said dress code informal, no tuxedo. So I was just going to pack a suit & a few shirts etc. I also managed to wangle an extra few nights stay to hopefully take in the STS-126 launch on Friday, will anyone else be around? As I booked into the Radisson Thursday thru Monday I hope to rub shoulders with quite a few people & put faces to names. |

Hi Kim, hubby and myself are going out on the 5th via LGW. The weather in Florida is rather warm, but still gets dark in the evening. I have been in Nov. on several occasions. Plus am going to be there until 19th. If you want, e-mail me, then we can arrange something. Just live across the Irish Sea, from you. Feel free to get in touch. Best wishes, look forward to meeting you, welcome to collectSPACE. from Brenda and Ted Bailey, IOM |

Can anyone answer this question? I have purchased a single Gold ticket for myself. However my wife and daughter want to attend the autograph show at the KSC Friday Nov 7. Does anyone know if we can purchase their ticket for the Autograph show there? Or do I need to pre-purchase the ticket?

Received my platinum ticket information packet via email this afternoon. It sounds like the actual tickets will be available for pick up at the KSC Visitor's Center rather than mailed to us. This certainly should be a great weekend. |

You KNOW our tickets are in the post? Everyone I know going has had an email to say their tickets will be at the will-call desk. Don't make rash statements that you can't quantify. You will only cause untold numbers of phone calls to the ASF office and could cause fellow collectors to panic. |
