I still have a copy of the Novaspace form for the 2007 John Young signing. Base autograph fee was $495. |

Yes, a base fee of $495, but a Gemini completion fee of $625. |

I believe I paid $595 to have John sign my moon globe. I already had Aldrin, Bean, Mitchell, Scott, Duke, Cernan, Schmitt on the front. Worden, Gordon, Lovell, on the back.

Any word on whether this will coincide with the release of his long-rumored memoirs? |

I would think if it were being released in Sep, we would have heard about it going to a publisher by now. But I am just guessing...------------------ John Capobianco Camden DE |

The good news is that the base fee remains at $495, the same as it was in the Jan 2007 signing.Inscriptions are up from $15 / word to $20 / word and the limit has been increased from 10 to 12 words. That is helpful. |

I have a mint condition 1969 Snoopy doll with the original box that is signed on the helmet by Stafford and Cernan. Those sigs were obtained rather inexpensively. I have wanted to send it off for Young's signature in the past, but have hesitated because of the fee. I was wondering if a Apollo 10 completion at about 600$ would be a waste? It certainly would be a conversation piece. Has anyone seen a complete Ap-10 crew on one of these before? |

Deadline for the John Young signing at NOVASPACE is September 3. Don't forget about the Labor Day holiday Sept. 1.We learned with Pete Conrad in 1999 that "waiting till next time" is not a good strategy. HERE are the rules and forms. |

Go for it before the opportunity has gone. You will look back in years to come and thank yourself for doing it.It will also add value to the piece anyway especially since Apollo 10 crew signed items are hard to come by. |

Young DID sign covers in 2007. There's no mention of Cover signing fees for the 2008 signing. Can anyone confirm that he WILL be signing Covers this year? And if so, for how much? THANKS for any info! |

Novaspace's website lists covers among the items covered by the base fee of $495 (obviously additional fees apply if the signature is a crew completion). |

Thank you, Robert. Yesterday I printed the NS "Fees" page for Young which is part of the PDF package that includes the order form. I just rechecked and there is *no* mention of covers. But you are absolutely correct. The *initial* page does list Covers in the base fee on an obviously updated page. And surprisingly, (like 2007) there is no completion fee for STS-9 items in 2008.

Update from Novaspace: If you sent anything in for the John Young signing, hang tight; hurricane Ike is causing much of low-lying Houston to be under evacuation orders, including the Youngs, who were to be here tomorrow. It may be a week or more depending on Ike. |

Spoke to Novaspace today, and the good news is that those they have heard from in the Houston area, Cernan, Bean, and Young and families are all OK. In particular, the Youngs had some wind damage but mostly in the yard, but the house is OK and they had no water damage. Like everyone else down there they don't have any power, and don't expect to have it for another eight weeks. As for the signing, they expect to have it either next week or the week after. |

The Youngs are still without power, but it may be restored later this week (no guarantees). We hope to have the signing sometime next week, if they get their power back by then. Thanks for your patience, Novaspace |

I think it may take up to a couple weeks for everything to get packaged up and shipped out, considering the lengths they go to wrap everything in bulletproof packaging. |

A couple weeks to get everything packed and shipped? Double that. The CDs take a couple weeks to complete, so I've gotten used to getting things up to a month after the signing. But, since I understand that good packaging and properly doing the CD and certificate, I've come to accept it. So, if you had photos taken, be patient - they're working on it. |

Young signed on 10/1. We are painfully aware that many of you need your stuff for Autographica and ASF, and we're trying very hard to do that. Please remember, we can't ship everyone's order the first day (or even the first week). We've sent 60% of the orders, which is most of the items that did not need Photo COAs. We got the photos from our photographer yesterday morning, and Kim is working hard to create and print the Photo COAs right now. Check your emails for shipping notices from UPS, FedEx, or Novaspace. If shipped by UPS or FedEx, UPS/FedEx will email you, with tracking number and delivery date. If you're afraid of phony emails with the "UPS virus", the real UPS email does NOT have attachments, and has the tracking number in the subject. If your item goes by US Mail, Novaspace will email you when it ships. Check your spam folders to make sure the emails aren't there. Please be patient. We are trying to get everything else shipped next week. Thanks, Rob at Novaspace |

Got my Young-signed Alan Bean Apollo book and Spacecraft Films Apollo 16 DVD cover back in A-1 condition. Glad I finally took the plunge, and *really* appreciate Novaspace's efforts to get them back before the ASF show. |

Got my "Jumping John" vintage NASA litho back and am VERY happy with the excellent quality of the inscription/signature. As always with Novaspace the packaging was bullet-proof which is just as well with the terrible treatment it got with the Royal Mail. I also opted for a photo COA (first time I've done this) which I do not regret.... though looking at the camera or a smile would have been nice . Thanks again to all at Novaspace for a great job! - Derek |
