I was a consignor at the spring auction, and a lot I sent Victoria (an Apollo 10 crew signed VIP card) was not included in the catalog. It was listed on eBay after the auction. I was surprised at this, and felt that for the commission that I was paying them it was not getting the exposure that it deserved. I could list it on eBay myself. I asked Victoria to pull the lot and send it back to me. She agreed. When it did not arrive for a few weeks I called and was told that it was sold anyway (for $100!). Victoria agreed to compensate me for the fair market value, and would send me a check along with the amounts for the lots that did sell. I finally got a check for the other items in July, four months after the auction, but no check for the Apollo 10 lot. It was promised again, and did not arrive again. It was promised by Victoria two weeks ago and again did not arrive. It is now August and still I have no check.Shame on Victoria for lying. Cavet Emptor, let the buyer (or in this case the seller) beware! | |
