On Aurora's website www.auroraauctions.com there's no mention on their home page, but they do have the April 8 auction catalog online under their 'Catalogs' section. You need to scroll down to 'current auctions'. It looks like it starts at 9am PST. It appears there are about 441 lots. - Albrecht[This message has been edited by collectSPACE Admin (edited April 08, 2006).] |

good its not just me, I'm assuming that the auction started and the absentee bids won becouse no live bidders bid!I expect when the fault is fixed I will now loose my winning items or have to bid more! |

Don't feel bad. I was able to sign in and make one bid, but an absentee bid was higher and when I tried to bid more live, the browser interface locked up on me. By the time I was able to sign in again, the item was closed. Ah well.------------------ Bill Hunt |

Just to weigh in, I had no problems viewing or bidding in the live auction today. I use XP and IE.They do seem to have unveiled a new look to the live auction window, but no problems on my end. Didn't win anything though :-)

This is a drag. I wasn't able to get on, and I hadn't changed any of my settings from last week's auction, when everything worked just fine. I even tried using my other browsers and none of them worked either. I think somebody owes those of us who couldn't get on some sort of an explanation.James [This message has been edited by JFS61 (edited April 08, 2006).] |

It seems like eBay have changed the liveauction interface. I couldn't get it to run in Firefox and had to revert to using IE. Anyway, I have to say I actually preferred this 'second chance' auction to the original one. Lots of goodies (especially for patch fans), it started early, didn't last until 3am (European time)... great stuff! |

I managed to pick up a few little items and then ebay went nuts on me. The Gene Kranz LM came up for sale, I bid $10 on it and ebay told me that I had won. I was thrilled. Then the Kranz LM came up for sale again. I won it again for $175. Then the whole ebay thing froze and I couldn't get it to ever work again. Then I get two email notices for winning two items that I never would have bid on, one for $10, one for $175. I'm fairly certain that this had nothing to do with Aurora but was ebay breaking in a new system. I'm glad for the items I won before it crashed on me, and sad for the ones I missed out on. For certain there were some real bargains with so many bidders unable to access the auction. Noah

I had no problems logging on or bidding. I only bid on one item, and had no competition. So I don't know if further bidding would have shown a problem. (Windows XP Pro, Firefox, dial-up connection)------------------ John Fongheiser President Historic Space Systems, http://www.space1.com |

Walter, I'm not certain what is happening, but it appears that unsold items from this sale are popping back up on ebay... this cover included... perhaps there will be a part 3 sale?Noah |

I placed both absentee bids and participated in the live auction bidding using Firefox at one time and Explorer at another. Firefox froze up at one point and I switched to explorer and had no further problems. I won a few auctions with a couple of them having active live bidding. It was my best Live auction results ever. |

For some reason, when Aurora lists their items their ending times are 12 hours later than the auction. When they sell live, the ebay listing is terminated (closed) but the ones that don't sell remain on ebay.
However, if I go to bid on one of those unclaimed items I can't seem to.

Like cS members, I had problems with Ebay today during Aurora's austion - and have been having problems with the Ebay server since Wednesday, tho they assured me that everything was fixed this morning. I apologize to our customers that had problems. There are some unsold items from this sale, resulting probably from the Ebay computer issues today, as well as some other unsolds from last weekend . Would list members be interested in a 3rd sale for these items? Please email me off list at vcampbell@auroraauctions.com with your thoughts. Thank you again for your imput and your business, Victoria Campbell CEO, Aurora |
