Mission managers waved off the return of Dragon until Thursday, Dec. 12, due to unfavorable weather conditions at the splashdown site off the coast of Florida and an extended period of high sun exposure at the space station over the next week.

If conditions are acceptable on Dec. 12, the spacecraft will autonomously undock at around 11:05 a.m. EST (1605 GMT).

Unfavorable weather conditions continue off the coast of Florida, so NASA and SpaceX are now targeting Sunday (Dec. 15) for the next return opportunity.

Is there a timeline for actual splashdown and where? I thought I heard during the broadcast it was around 12:30 a.m. EST on Dec. 17 in the Gulf of Mexico off the Florida coast.

All times are CT (US)
