The Google Lunar X PRIZE is retaining space aboard all competing spacecraft for digital photos and humanitarian messages submitted by the public. For a $10 donation, when the winning craft has landed on the Moon's surface, your Lunar Legacy can be there with it. From the GLXP Lunar Legacy website: quote: Whether you're sending an image of yourself, a meaningful message for posterity, honoring a loved one, or like us, just think it's too cool not to do, putting your Lunar Legacy on the surface of the Moon is only the beginning. As the competition continues, Google Lunar X Prize plans to offer new opportunities to all of you who have created Legacies."Details are still being worked out, but we fully intend to broadcast, or "Mooncast", a number of our supporters' Legacies back to Earth." says X Prize founder Dr. Peter Diamandis, "Which means that one of our Lunar Legacy creators will quite literally be the Neil Armstrong of private space exploration."
