Roscosmos' PTK NP (new generation piloted transport ship), also known as "Orel" or "Oryol" (formerly "Federation" or "Federatsiya") is intended to replace Soyuz as Russia's crewed spacecraft.

More can be read about the design and development at Russian Space Web.

As one who is captivated by complex analog/discrete digital astrionic components employed in earlier crewed capsules, starting with Soyuz TMA and following up with the PTK NP, with all interface functions collapsed to simple representation on what are essentially commercially available flat panel displays, there is becoming much less of interest in these next-gen spacecraft to collect!

Indeed. Many of the internal furnishings and finishings in some of the new spacecraft have a formless melted plastic look that don't seem to have the character and recognition of earlier spacecraft. You can tell the PTK's designers are trying to hang on to a sense of continuity more so than their Western counterparts in this area.

Regarding the displays and controls, I'd feel safer in one if there were a few dozen hard wired toggle switches as overrides.

From Roscosmos:
The Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City has accepted delivery of the pilot's workstation for the integrated simulator of the new-generation piloted transport ship. At present, one of the most significant elements of the future simulator is being tested — the pilot's controls, which are in a mockup of the PTK return vehicle.
