Misurkin, O.V. Novitskiy, M.T. Ponomarev, N.V. Tikhonov, and Y.O. Serova (though their appearance in the above photo may be different than the order presented by the list). |

Seven people named, ten people in the photo. If you look at the "younger faces" you have five military officers, one man (at far left) and one woman. Let's hope they come out with a better photo and accurate captioning. |

Third from right appears to Valery Korzun (chief of cosmonaut training) and the two men in dark suits are probably manager types. That leaves seven persons to be properly identified... |

I'm also wondering if Maksim Ponomarev is related in some way to former (and once married) cosmonauts Yuri and Valentina Ponomarev? |

Yuri and Valentina had a son, Alexsandr born in 1958. This was the source of some controversy when Valentina's candidature was being considered, as the authorities only really wanted to consider unmarried girls for cosmonaut training. Maksim's patronymic indicates his father is called Vladimir, so unlikely there is a direct connection, but ofcourse he could be from some other part of the wider family. |
