When reviewing the history of the International Space Station's (ISS) assembly, it should be noted that although there are currently eight ports to connect, the record of ships connected to the ISS is currently six spacecraft.

Here is an overview of such events:

  1. Feb. 26, 2011 - US Space Shuttle Discovery STS-133, Japanese cargo craft HTV-2, European cargo vehicle ATV-2 "Johannes Kepler", Russian crewed Soyuz TMA-M, Soyuz TMA-20 and cargo Progress М-09М:


  2. April 10, 2016 - US Dragon CRS-8, Cygnus OA-6, Russian crewed Soyuz TMA-19M, Soyuz TMA-20M and cargo Progress MS-01 (62) and Progress MS-02 (63):


  3. July 10, 2016 - US Dragon CRS-15, Cygnus OA-9, Russian crewed Soyuz MS-08, Soyuz MS-09 and cargo Progress MS-08 (69) and Progress MS-09 (70):


  4. August 12, 2018 - US Dragon CRS-16, Cygnus NG-10, Russian crewed Soyuz MS-09, Soyuz MS-11, cargo Progress MS-09 (70) and Progress MS-10 (71):


  5. May 6, 2019 - US Dragon CRS-17, Cygnus NG-11, Russian crewed Soyuz MS-11, Soyuz MS-12, cargo Progress MS-10 (71) and Progress MS-11 (72):


  6. December 7, 2020 - US Dragon Crew-1, CRS-21 Cargo Dragon, Cygnus NG-14, Russian crewed Soyuz MS-17, cargo Progress MS-14 (75) and Progress MS-15 (76):

Didn't know there are six ships on station and still room for two more. Great visuals and quite a milestone.
