ISS Expedition 33 crew portraitExpedition 33 crew members take a break from training at NASA's Johnson Space Center to pose for a crew portrait. Pictured from the left are NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, commander; along with Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Akihiko Hoshide, Russian cosmonaut Evgeny Tarelkin, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Novitskiy and NASA astronaut Kevin Ford, all flight engineers. |

Great photo and nice to see the 'Union Jack' featured amongst the international flags along the bottom again, absent for a number of years. What have we done to get it back on? |

I think the Union Jack is back because Timothy Peake is a member of the ESA astronauts corps and he's British. So therefore, we are now part of International Space Station. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is why I think is why. |

And again, Malenchenko is doing his best impression of a Vulcan. The guy never cracks a smile at all it seems (but this will be his third expedition as a flight engineer and he has done a stellar job all his previous times). |

I have seen photos with a smiling cosmonaut Malenchenko but not often. |

Oh my goodness! That poster where the people are in black in white looks like a movie poster.A fine looking crew, indeed. |

I've noticed quite a few of these tags on flight suits/flight jackets lately. I guess it's the astronaut's preference if they want to remove them or not? |
