STS-120 mission specialist Doug Wheelock has been assigned to the Expedition 21 space station crew. Before he launches though, he will take part in a different type of NASA expedition, climbing to the base camp on Mt. Everest in support of his STS-120 spacewalking partner Scott Parazynksi's attempt to summit the mountain. |

I do not know who any of the other crew members will be yet. I spoke to Wheelock at the STS-123 crew return, who confirmed the assignment. I should have asked him who he was flying with, but sadly I didn't think of it. |

Will Wheelock fly one of the 6 months stints or one of the shorter ones?------------------ Jürgen P Esders Berlin, Germany International Director (Europe), Space Unit Vice President, Weltraum Philatelie e. V. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Astroaddies |

By Expedition 21 they should all be ~6 month missions. The shorter stays end next year.BTW, Exp 21A/B is scheduled to be on site during the final shuttle visit. |
