Presently in the Gulf of Mexico, Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in the Big Bend of Florida as a "catastrophic" Category 3 storm this evening.

Live views and commentary as the International Space Station, orbiting roughly 260 miles (417 km) above Earth, passes over Hurricane Helene. The hurricane is currently approaching the coast of Florida.

Cameras on the International Space Station captured views of Hurricane Helene at 2:25 p.m. EDT September 26 as it approached the Gulf coast of Florida packing winds in excess of 120 miles an hour.
