Since more and more companies are concerned about their carbon footprints on Earth as the numbers of servers increase, wouldn't it be great if somehow plans are made to move computers and servers into space, such as in high orbit around Earth or on the Moon?

In fact, Lonestar Data had a technological demonstrator mission which tested the feasibility of exactly that.

Limited utility. Many applications leveraging servers are latency intolerant.
