Now that the countdown is underway for Artemis I, I am curious what you are looking to collect from these new missions? What is on your wish list? What do you hope becomes available and what have you seen that you want? What have you already collected? |

Personally, Artemis has served to solidify my grounding in Apollo era. In an ideal world, I would like to acquire one flown momento from the forthcoming mission be that a patch or something similar. Beyond that the program holds little interest as a collector. |

Anything flown. However, if I get to decide a flown flag in order by preference 1) USA 2) Canada 3) Georgia. |

Patches and lapel pins. I have already purchased the basics that are currently offered however, I will be a little more eager to purchase once an actual crew flies a mission. I do not care for collecting items from cancelled programs. As much as I am looking forward to Monday's launch, being in the early stages and the state of this country I am reluctant to become excited. Like Constellation I am afraid of cancellation before the first human rides in Orion and on SLS. With that said, at least SLS is in the position to liftoff in less than two days so my optimism is high for the program. As Gordo Cooper said concerning the name of his Mercury spacecraft, "I have Faith." A decent plastic affordable model of the Orion spacecraft from a manufacturer like Revell or Monogram would be nice to add along with my other models (hint, hint, hint). |

I full support that thought!(By the way, Revell and Monogram are the same company now, maybe Tamiya or Airfix.) |

Perhaps you are dismal about the state of the country specifically because future budget decisions are unpredictable and thus could scuttle the Artemis program, but for considerations around general/widespread societal stresses recall that the Apollo era was nuts too — with assassinations and assassination attempts, riots and demonstrations, anti-war civilian bombings (remember Madison WI?) and general mayhem. Indeed, hopefully we can keep faith. |

Artemis has similar geopolitical impetus to Project Apollo for sustainment — this time around however its China's playing the role of primary adversary and competitor. |

I'll be happy with an on time launch and a successful mission. After that I'll worry about collectibles. |

From Mercury through ISS, I've collected mainly the 'flat stuff': books, photos, stamps/covers, other ephemera. I sent in three covers for launch day cancels from the Cape and KSC post offices, so that's the 'official' start of my Artemis philatelic collection. |
