Buzz Aldrin has lent his voice to the Disney Junior animated show "Miles From Tomorrowland." Aldrin's cameo is part of the episode "Connect and Protect: The Mission Center" airing Aug. 26 at 9 a.m. ET/PT. "This show does a great job of promoting teamwork and STEAM [Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics] work, which were both critical to the success of our Apollo 11 mission to the moon," Aldrin said. "As Commander Copernicus, I hope my part in this show will help to inspire kids of today, and tomorrow, about human space exploration. Those kids are Generation Mars!"
Aldrin previously lent his voice and likeness to the Disney animated series "Recess" (1999) and he was the namesake for the "Toy Story" character Buzz Lightyear. He also lent his voice and likeness to an episode of "The Simpsons" (1994). |
