Budweiser has set its sights on brewing the first beer on Mars.
"The King of Beers" announced its "Bud on Mars" initiative — including a partnership that could lead to flying malt and other experiments on the International Space Station — on Saturday (March 11) at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
"This takes the Budweiser experience to the future, where colonization and socialization might go," Valerie Toothman, Anheuser-Busch's Vice President of Marketing Innovation, said during a panel discussion devoted to brewing beer on the Red Planet.

Hopefully the CO2 scrubbers on ISS can handle the forthcoming keggers.

One thing's for sure, on Mars it would always be a cold one!

Budweiser is sending barley seeds to the International Space Station to advance its bid to be the first beer on Mars.
Anheuser-Busch, the brewing company behind the "Great American Lager," announced on Tuesday (Nov. 21) details about its experiments bound for Earth orbit. Twenty barley seeds will launch on board SpaceX's next Dragon resupply mission to the space station, where they will be subjected to microgravity for 30 days and tested for germination.

One more reason to remain on Earth, where there are so many great beers.

Back in college, my buddies and I all used to be able to cite from memory the text from the Budweiser label. You know: "This is the famous Budweiser beer. We know of no brand produced by any other brewer which costs so much to brew and age... etc., etc." The label also had these continents on it: America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia.
Now they will have to add "Mars" to the list (before they could list Antarctica)!
And given the circumstances of the Mars trip, I guess they can still keep bragging about how it costs so much to brew!
