From Peggy Whitson on the International Space Station: Nice to have a new kind of dessert. The food lab prepared drink bags with gelatin mix inside, and I made gelatin for the boys.  

Gelatin has flown in space before, dating back to the Gemini program, when NASA used it to coat bread cubes to keep it from crumbing. I believe pre-made Jello cups also flew on the space shuttle. But this may be the first time that Jello was made in space... |
