Following on from an collectSPACE thread, "Who are you?" let's try 'Where are you?' Find your local area on Google Earth. For security reasons you may only want to post a general location or a local landmark. It would be interesting to mark our whereabouts on the Google Earth map. I'm sure there is a way of pasting them all in as they are posted to create a collectSPACE world tour. Just an idea... I'll start to get the ball rolling! 52°36'58.14"N, 1°56'50.23"W |

Thanks to all for posting so far. I'm sure there are many more to come. More countries, more continents. We haven't heard from down under yet. It's not until you start searching on something like Google Earth you realise just how big this little blue and white ball is and how precious.... I'm fillin' up now... sniff. |

I am somewhere near 52°23'7.80"N 5°14'59.27"O at this moment (the city Almere in the Netherlands). I often wonder (when checking Google Earth)what I would be able to see of my house from space... (Google Earth images are too good I guess). |

Try clicking this link to download the .kmz file showing the locations of the previous posts. Some locations had to be converted from decimal to degrees/hours/minutes so there may be some inaccuracies. Other inaccuracies are probably just my fault! Just let me know and I will fix them. Additionally, I'll keep an eye on this topic and update as needed. |
