Previously I´ve used a PC software called JPLclock, by Dave Ransom i believe. It was a countdown display with a big clock, and past and future events of your chose. It was written in DOS.You could download shuttle countdown and follow the countdown to all events and the separate clocks changed from red to green as the events past. Does anyone of you spacefans know if there is someting similar for the modern PC, modern javascripts or anything flashy for todays PC-screens, on a stand-alone PC. It would be nice to have a "control room" at my desk for space-related actions, even when I´m not connected to the internet. Any suggestions welcome. Jan Persson

JPLclock still works within a DOS window Jan, even on an XP machine. Or are you looking for a more modern replacement ? Adam There are some javascript clocks and countdowns here http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex6/index.html [This message has been edited by nasamad (edited August 01, 2006).] |

Yes, JPLclock is a robust software, and I´ve used it for information about the interplanetary flights. And since I´m old enough I use DOS now and then. But I was looking for some flashy state-of-the art. Since I´m no expert programmer maybe someone else is. I´m trying to use Bill Harwood (CBS) Excel-sheets which are very detailad and good, but it would be nice to have them translated into something for the wall - nice-to-look-at and public-friendly. Maybe this is an idea for someone to make some bucks through shareware/software. I will try to experiment with the javascripts suggested. Many thanks. Greetings from, Jan

Jan, did you get my email that I sent to you the other day about this subject? It was a rather large file about a program that I'm writing that may solve your problems. Just would like to know if you got it or not.Lawrence Baldwin |
