I love spaceflight. I thnk it is amazing and with this new administrator it is going to geet sp much better. Discover has just come back from an incredible flight, the one we have dreamed of. But, I cant get into sdpaceflight at the moment. I hardly watched any of the mission. I cant seem to watch any of the spaceflight DVD's or read any of the spaceflight books at the moment. I cant get excited about it at the moment. I am worried that the unthinkabvler may be happening. That i am loosing interest. Why cant i concentrate and get myself motivated. I still love spaceflight but in the last four or so months I have have not really deleved into that amazing world that muchg. I watched the countdown and launch and the landing and the Imax space station.live but thats it. Help!!!!! I am worried. |

Gareth-Chill out man! You're probably just suffering from a little burn-out. Take some time off and relax. Hobbies are supposed to be fun. Tim |

I'm just the opposite. So much cool stuff happening in the last year. - Mars rovers keep roving - Arrival at Saturn - Deep Impact - Shuttle returns to flight (at least for one mission) - The next Mars orbiter launches tomorrow (second try)Way cool, keep it coming! Tom

Donīt worry, ASCAN, itīs not only hobby, but a contagious disease with no cure or vaccination at hand so far. But being mad for space is one of the best diseases to have and itīs like swimming or bicycling - once youīve learned your skills you never loose it. My presciption: take your three most liked autographs and look at them five minutes three times a day and you will feel better soon. Best wishes for you! Chris |

ASCAN1984, I've been there myself over the years and then something happens, or you see something on TV or in a book store and the interest returns as strong as ever.Regards, Rick. |

HI EveryoneThankyou for those kind words. I am starting to realise what i think it is. I have sent allot of letters our over the l;ast two years and I have only got two replys. I have tried so hard and written what i think is the right letter with the advice you all have given me. But it has done no good. I cant think why i am nbot getting any replys. It is very Disheartening. Would it help to tell the truth about how anoying it is for people to sell autographs online ruining it for everyone else. But thankyou again for the kind words. ASCAN, Come to Autographica in London in October and meet Buzz Aldrin, Al Bean and Charlie Duke. If funds are tight, just attend the drinks reception and the lectures, but come and meet three legends in person! If that doesn't re-ignite your enthusiasm, nothing will. |

Gareth,I am also in sort of a "funk" right now. But i am not discouraged because something will come along that will kick-start it all for me again. The same will happen with you. Everyone needs a break now and then, but you will always be coming back! ------------------ Brian 385th Bombardment Group B-17 Bomber "War Horse" http://warhorse.omegappg.com |
