I am currently working on a project to help bring science and indeed the History of manned Spaceflight to schools in the area where I live.As some of you know I have been involved as an unpaid volunteer in the Starchaser Industries attempt to win the x-prize.
Starchaser have their own successful Outreach programme for schools etc.
Steve Bennett of Starchaser has of course offered to lend me some of their collection, including a Cosmonaut suit(Salyut).
I have been asked by the local Vicar who Chairs the governors for my own childrens school if I would be prepared to display and speak about my collection for the children at the school. I have been asked to discuss Starchaser and the basics of how rockets work etc.
I do have my own collection of items I will be only too glad to display. I wondered if anyone else would be prepared to donate an article - a spare autograph or small piece of memorabilia perhaps to assist me in helping children learn more about the History of Spaceflight and rockets.
If anyone can help ..I would appreciate it.
I hope to be able to leave a small permanent momento at some schools. It is my intention to donate a STS 8 Challenger signed cover, with a Bluford autograph (Framed) to my childrens school.
I will be speaking to children who have learning difficulties, and some who come from poorer backgrounds.
Any displays that I carry out will of course be done free of charge..
Anyone who can help please mail me at:-

Thanks, and best wishes,
Andrew
