"But honey don't you think it'd look nice in a glass cabinet in the hall?..."

I think many of our 'better halves' reckon we're mad paying serious money for photos with ink squiggles on them or even more serious money for bits of tinfoil in paperweights or for 10 cent flags stuck to faded certificates.

Maybe if you're in this situation you should go all the way and buy this classy memento of the space age: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3640622964&category=13903

Okay so it has "some soiling", but you'd certainly stand out from the crowd if you took this somewhere to get an astronaut to sign it!

By the way if you want to spend serious money on a signed photo try this Charlie Duke signed photo going for a mere $409! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3639939085&category=13903
Does it have a flown flag glued to the back??

If folks will buy a bolt or a 1" square of insulation, I don't see what's the matter with a fecal bag.

There is a rather nice (if "nice" is the word!) collection of various fecal bags in the museum at SpaceCamp in Huntsville, Alabama. I have a nice bit of video of myself explaining these to my son.

From an educational standpoint I see nothing wrong with a fecal bag. After all, what is one of the questions most commonly asked of an astronaut ..... "How do you go to the toilet in space?"

I own one already and when I'm flush I'll buy another..... Not really, just wanted to get the flush gag in there somewhere.

Regards,

Rick.

If I recall these were also known affectionately as a ‘sh*t mit’

Now if it was ‘flown’…

As Rick said they are good for educational use as this is definitely THE question that comes up every time at schools, colleges and even tech groups and societies.

I even had to feature it on the Collexctors Lot Tv programme that showed my collection since that's what tickled them :-)

I've done hundreds and hundreds of space talks over the years and it is the question that is asked most.

I've got most types now so can cover most 'angles' !
